I am buying my first home which needs a new boiler (there is no seperate hot water heater) and a new oil tank. I received two estimates, two very different estimates and am scheduled for another by a third party. The first estimate included a "Burnham PV83 cast iron wet base boiler" and the other quoted for "one Weil-Mclain cast iron boiler w/domestic coil. This boiler is three sections and required for the 61,800 BTU load" Can you help me to understand the difference between the two. I am having trouble finding info on-line. Thank you.

[...] This is a common problem and the easiest to solve. Check your tank and make sure you have heating oil. Many people run out and do not realize it. You should be in the habit of checking the level every so often but many do not. Its a common mistake and if you notice that it is low call the heating oil distributor to come and re-fill your tank. Then follow these instructions on bleeding and re-priming the oil burner pump.
Great post. I have found the same thing. If ya' wait till the fall or winter time to replace your furnace you will pay an arm and a leg. All the heater places are busy and they will not be motivated to mark down anything. But when you get your heating service done in the summer time it can be like half the price.
